  Letter to the Editor

No one is surprised that ROSIE O’DONNELL is still in the media mix, are they? The loudest lesbian in the biz was back flooding various airwaves, newspapers and blogs recently, mostly the fault of BARBARA WALTERS, of course.

Walters, who in addition to making everyone think about her naked and having sex with senators by confessing that she had an affair with Edward Brooke in the ’70s — said in her new memoir, “Auditions,” that O’Donnell was a diva.

“The premise of ‘The View’ is that of a team working together, but for Rosie, it was more like Diana Ross and the Supremes, as little by little she took over,” Walters wrote in the book, according to the New York Daily News.

Apparently, Queen Rosie’s rulings didn’t sit well with her subjects — to the point where they were threatening to boycott the show’s Christmas party. Heavens! Turning down free booze to prove a point? That makes no sense to Dish at all.

O’Donnell also had an appearance on Rachael Ray’s show, which Dish refuses to watch, because who needs to learn how to make “Cowboy Spaghetti”? But the Rosie episode was totally worthwhile because O’Donnell did a deep-voiced Martha Stewart impersonation.

On the show, she said that she phoned Stewart offering help when the domestic goddess went to prison. Stewart asked her to stop by for a visit.

“I said to her,  ‘So, Martha, what do you miss the most?’ and she looks right at me and says, ‘The flavor of lemon,’ and I thought, ‘Holy crap, it’s not an act,’” O’Donnell related to Ray.

Of course it’s not an act, Rosie — lemon zest is essential for any number of risotto dishes and certainly desserts served en croute.

Blue">T.R. Knight’s May-December wedding

Dish loves this next bit. It comes from Marc Malkin, E!’s gossip hound. Everyone knows that T.R. KNIGHT, infamously of “Grey’s Anatomy” and the “faggot” controversy of last year, who is 35, is dating a 19 year-old UCLA student, right?

So, the cradle-robber’s gonna make it legit, Malkin suggests. The two, who have been dating for less than six months, may get married on June 4 at a group commitment ceremony for same-sex couples held by the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Knight is hosting the event, which will obviously be held in West Hollywood.

Fifty couples, mayor Jeffrey Prang, and Mom to Us All Judy Shepard are all expected to attend the event, which also serves as a sort of kick-off to National Gay Pride month.

Soap actor actually gay in couples news

Soap dish, darlings. We have wonderful news from PEREZ HILTON, that no-good gossip hound. According to his rumor files, VAN HANSIS (how made up is that name?), who plays gay character Luke Snyder on “As the World Turns,” is dating TYLER HANES, who mostly does theater acting. Hansis’ character on the soap may be gay, but in the past the actor himself has been referred to as straight.

Hilton spies also caught Australian singer SIA and her rumored girlfriend, J.D. SAMSON from Le Tigre, at the Dolly Parton Radio City Music Hall concert on May 1. Awwwww. How queer is that?
